Hotlady are an 80’s influenced electronic duo consisting of Dónal Sharpson, a music producer, and Oisín Bickley, a visual artist. Hotlady began in 2017 as a side project that aims to bring back the sounds of the 80’s to the dancefloor with a DJ Set filled with 80’s classics, disco, electro and house. Hotlady also brings a visual experience with live controlled visuals reminiscent of classic 80’s Sci-Fi films.

At a Hotlady gig, the listener will hear the likes of Soft Cell, Aha, Steve Winwood, Bronski Beat, Whitney Houston, Todd Terje, Groove Armada, Com Truise, Justice, Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo, The Chemical Brothers as well as original material from Hotlady’s debut EP.

Hotlady began when Dónal Sharpson and Oisín Bickley were touring around Europe as a Daft Punk tribute in 2016/17. The two were both producing music separately and had recently found themselves making music that was aesthetically reminiscent of the 80’s. They decided to pull their resources together and form Hotlady, an act that would challenge everyday DJ’s with a killer set and live visuals. The two have been gigging around both Ireland and the UK with their electric live shows. With a new EP on its way, Hotlady are an act not to be missed.
