Deep in the dark, dark woods, hidden in the dappled light amongst the straggling oaks, is Townlands Carnival’s best kept secret… a place where the magic begins.
The Sibin, a stage set in an old tin barn, is a showcase for live music acts from pure folk, to folk rock, trad to blues, electric to eclectic, from the hauntingly beautiful to the stompingly danceable. With its tin shack bar, its hoe-down atmosphere, and its faeryland environment, its a festival within the festival. And the surrounding woodland is a sculpture park gallery for site specific artists. At night it transforms into a wonderland with its lights, lanterns and festoons.
